What they’ll Learn

Your child will learn about the body parts associated with the five senses and explore various sensory stimuli. They’ll also learn how to describe sensations that they associate with different places. The goal of this workshop is to facilitate essential processes during childhood development. For example, sight and speaking games will help improve memory, visualization and speaking skills. Early access to tactile stimuli will aid in the development of balance, posture, proprioception, and fine motor skills.

How this workshop will help:
Students who lack interest in the world around them may become limited in learning capacities later in life. GOOD GAME

What they’ll Learn

Your child will learn about the importance of good sportsmanship. We will explore how polite behavior and good habits during and after a game can be applied at home or at school. Your child will learn the importance of resilience, respect, and responsibility. By understanding the value of rules and teamwork in a game, they will gain more insight on how to work with and improve their community.

Students will learn about the importance of good sportsmanship.

How this workshop will help:
Students who practice good sportsmanship will build more discipline and resilience. They will be more likely to persevere after a failure and realize that it shouldn’t justify bad behavior. GRADES 5 - 6

FAST FASHION

What they’ll Learn

Your child will learn about the environmental consequences of fast fashion. The goal is to encourage students to explore the ways in which their clothing choices affect the limited resources on our planet. Once your child understands the importance of making sustainable choices, they will encourage fashion companies to source their materials ethically and make better use of our planetary resources during production and distribution.

Financial mismanagement

How this workshop will help:

As students become more knowledgeable about where their clothes come from and where they go after they’re finished using them, they’ll be more mindful of how they purchase and take care of their clothing. They’ll be less likely to spend money on poor quality clothing and, instead, invest in products that are financially sustainable and ethical for their community.

STRESS AND SPORTS

What they’ll Learn

Your child will discover the ways in which sports can alleviate stress. They will learn to recognize common daily stressors and how to take active steps to remove them. By using sports to manage stress, your child will be able to take control of their own lives. The ability to manage stress independently will help them build their confidence. This will allow them to increase their productivity and to strive for excellence.

ETHICAL DILEMMAS IN AI

What they’ll Learn

Your child will explore the ways in which artificial intelligence (AI) has integrated itself into various aspects of our lives. There will be discussions about critical ethical questions pertaining to our increased dependence on AI. Through these conversations, your child will examine their own sense of morality. Ultimately, your child will learn how to structure verbal arguments and share ideas eloquently with others thereby developing their communication ability.

HOW TO CHOOSE A UNIVERSITY

What they’ll Learn

Your child will reflect on their own plans for higher education as they evaluate different universities and programs. They will explore the different academic and vocational options available to teenagers after high school and examine which options are best suited to their particular needs and skill set. Through this process, your child will be able to set concrete and realistic goals for life after high school.

How this workshop will help:
Students will refine their ability to conduct online research and learn how to navigate different websites from institutes of higher learning. Their research will teach them about the various programs and courses being offered by different universities and technical colleges.
